Amazing experience with US Remitly support, absolute perfect

Incredibly good experience with Remitly, support between June 7 and 11. I sent 800 euros to my wife in Saint Petersburg for surgery on June 11. A day later, after sending I received an email that the amount was on hold. It finally worked out that the bank requires middle name as I understand many not use this in Russia, anyway the Russian bank declined and ended up with stress money was blocked for some period. But Remitly US support was amazing, they did all to correct it and even confirmed they will change the process a bit for customer to avoid next time issues to validate you must give the middle name as well. Very impressed by how they convert the stress we got with the Russian receivers bank to handle all and used other bank and got our money paid out. Big thanks to the support for this. Absolute amazing.

Beware!

Beware!! Beware!!
Really bad experience. Sent money to India on 15th May. Today is the 20th May. They have confirmed the money has been received but the recipient has received nothing. I can’t understand where the money is?? Customer service is just as hopeless. They go round in circles and claim the money has been sent. Wasted so much time following this up. At the receiving end and don’t know what to do!! If you don’t want to end up like me don’t use them.

POORLY TRAINED AGENTSI HAVE

I have used Remotely many times. They have an installed
rule no transaction of more transfers than 3 times in a 7 day period
No agent can say correctly
When 7 days starts and when 7 days end.

It is user friendly

It is user friendly, fast and simple.
The exchange rate is fair to my country and you always on time.
I recommend Remitly, to my friends and we all satisfied.
I thank the Remitly team and will use it as usual on a regular basis.
I am a very satisfy customer.

Send money to India and take five days…

Send money to India and take five days confirm received in to bank land I try calling customer service but no one answer phone and try chat but so busy and last five days received money.I am very disappointed and email with complaints but no reply, in future I have to think about and I am not recommended.

False information

If I could I would have given a 0 stars.
Joined 1st time seemed straight forward. Then transactions was put on hold no information why. Contact customers service they said that bank of my choice( fir Šiauliai was given 2 choices only) did not deal with euro transactions... Nonsense this was one of the oldest banks in Lithuania "Medicinos bankas" and euro us Lithuanian currency and been for years. This bank wax exchange 80% of world's currency since I knew it 19 yers in my case... they should not offer services that they can not provide.
Deeply disappointed

Horrible service.

Horrible service.
No one answers phone
Support takes 40 mins to get through to chat, then they are useless and cant answer basic questions
Sent payment to a web developer in India from Australia, but it was put on hold for 48 hours, then without a call or a email they block my account. Now its been a week and i am still waiting for my refund.
USER BEWARE!
This company is very unprofessional and incredibly incompetent. A monkey should not trust them to manage their bananas, and I certainly wont let them manage my money transfers every again.

Still waiting on reimbursement of cancelled money transfer

I cancelled a money transfer a month ago and they have not reimbursed my account. I have tried chatting and calling their contact links and still no results.

Hi Jacob,
I had a very bad experience from Remitly. My piece of mind has gone. I lost $2500 on 23rd march 1:45 pm. I saw the transaction on my commonwealthbank app. Immediatly I called Remitly, after long wait, I told the issue that I lost money due to fraud transaction. They asked me to file a dispute in Common wealthbank. I did the same. After one month, in dispute results, Remitly says that that transaction was done by me.
I even reported the issue when my transaction was pending on my account.
Also, this fraud transaction was to Africa. I have never done a transaction to Africa in my life time. In my history of Remitly, the transactions were done only to India (precisely to Kerala state, Thrissur district) because I sent money only to my friends and family. I still dont understand how they are telling that the transaction was done by me. I also used other sites like Skrill and SBI e-remit, there also, I never did any transactions to any other country.
Remitly cannot be trusted. I used remitly several times without any issue. Suddenly I lost huge amount of money. Be aware of them.

Should be able to. But it is impossible to contact the company to enable for this change to take place. They do not respond to any email. Their chat option and telephone are not functioning due to Covid-19 virus but the real reasons may to save money. I would suggest you write directly to the owner Mr Oppenheimer to resolve your immediate problems and then avoid them altogether. There are other companies offering better rates, fees and service

Avoid them if you can as their customer service is nonexistent and they seem to detest their customers because they treat them in a diabolical and disgusting manner. Their customers cannot contact them using telephone, web chat or email. They are only interested in your money and don't care about anything else.
